The hearts of many are heavy as news of the passing of Cephas Kofi Akuffo continues to send waves of sorrow across friends, family, and the Christian community in Ghana. Cephas, aged 31, transitioned into eternity on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
Born to Mr. Felix Kwame Akuffo and Mrs. Judith Abena Akuffo, Cephas was a man whose life radiated humility, service, and unwavering love for the Word of God.
He was not just an ordinary young man; Cephas was a passionate Bible reader, ministering alongside Apostle Abraham Obugyei, and was known for his deep commitment to the things of God. As a song minister, his voice carried healing and hope. Many who heard him sing would testify that his worship wasn’t a performance; it was pure ministry. His presence on any microphone, whether as an MC or a worshipper, brought joy, laughter, and comfort to gatherings of all kinds.
Friends, colleagues, and church members have taken to sharing fond memories of the man whose life left an unforgettable imprint on their hearts.
Keziah Obugyei described him as “a man who devoted himself fully to the work of God and inspired the youth through both word and action.”
Daniel Amponsah referred to him as “a hardworking and motivational figure whose energy lifted those around him.”
Thomas, a close companion, also spoke of joyful moments shared and the wisdom Cephas offered.
And in a deeply emotional recollection, Bernice Peprah Effah shared how Cephas stood with her in prayer through her academic journey and celebrated her victories like his own.

Beyond his public roles, Cephas was known for his gentle character, warm personality, and ability to relate to anyone he came across. Whether at church, in his neighbourhood, or during casual meetings, he left people feeling valued and uplifted.
As one mourner put it, “Cephas didn’t just live, he ministered through his very existence.”
While his death has left a deep void, the legacy of Cephas Kofi Akuffo lives on in his songs, his service, his counsel, and the many souls he touched.
From all of us at SikaTimes.com, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and church community.
Rest well, Cephas.
You fought the good fight.
You finished the race.
You kept the faith.
